CONTAINER TYPES & SIZES

There are many types of containers with different features. The type of container you will use varies according to the product you will transport.

The most frequently used container types in import and export are 20'DC and 40'DC and 40’HC containers. DC means ‘’Dry Container’’. Used for dry loads that do not require cooling. Textile products, packaged dry foods are transported in these containers. It is made of steel material. It has a door on the front and back, the other sides are closed.

20'DC CONTAINER

The outer length of the 20' container is 6.058mm, the width is 2.438mm, and the height is 2.591mm.

The dimensions that are important for us are the inner dimensions of the container. Product loading is calculated accordingly.

The inner length of the 20' container is 5.710mm, the width is 2.352mm, and the height is 2.385mm.

The capacity of 20' container is 33 cubic meters. Maximum loading capacity is 28.250kg.

40’DC CONTAINER

The outer length of the 40’ container is 12.192mm, the width is 2.438mm, and the height is 2.591mm.

The inner length of the 40’ container is 12.032mm, the width is 2.352mm, and the height is 2.385mm.

The capacity of 20' container is 67 cubic meters.

The door opening is 2.343mm wide and 2.280mm high. Maximum loading capacity is 26.740kg.

40’HC CONTAINER

The outer length of the 40’ container is 12.192mm, the width is 2.438mm, and the height is 2.896mm.

The inner length of the 40’ container is 12.032mm, the width is 2.352mm, and the height is 2.650mm.

The capacity of 20' container is 76 cubic meters.

The door opening is 2.343mm wide and 2.560mm high. Maximum loading capacity is 26.580kg.

20’ RF CONTAINER

Because of the cooling unit in the container, the products inside can reach to the destination point without spoiling

It is used in the transportation of products such as fresh vegetables-fruits, chocolate, frozen food, medicinal drugs.

The outer length of the 20' container is 6.058mm, the width is 2.438mm, and the height is 2.591mm.

The inner length of the 20' container is 5.450mm, the width is 2.290mm, and the height is 2.167mm.

The capacity of 20' container is 27 cubic meters. Maximum loading capacity is 27.400kg.

The door opening is 2.290mm wide and 2.212mm high.

40’ RH CONTAINER

The inner length of the 20' container is 11.580mm, the width is 2.275mm, and the height is 2.415mm.

The capacity of 40' RH container is 67 cubic meters. Maximum loading capacity is 29.400kg.

The door opening is 2.276mm wide and 2.471mm high.

OPEN TOP CONTAINER

The top door and front door of this type of container are completely open.

There is no ceiling, after loading, the upper part of the container is covered with a tarpaulin.

Steel bars are placed on the ceiling to hold the canvas.

It is a type of container used for loading large machines.

Loading is done from the top instead of loading from the door.

It is possible to find open top containers in 20' and 40' sizes.

BULK CONTAINER

It is a type of container used for the transportation of bulk products such as wheat and barley.

At the top, there are certain points for filling.

HARD TOP CONTAINER

HARD TOP CONTAINER

It is a type of container used for big loads such as large machines and etc.

Loading is done from the ceiling of the container instead of the door.

After loading the celing part is closed.

It is possible to find hard top containers in 20' , 40' and 40HC sizes.

FLAT RACK CONTAINER

These containers have no ceiling and side walls.

It is used to carry the products overflowing from the top and the side.

Ideal for transporting bulky and heavy loads such as construction machinery, vehicles, etc.

TANK CONTAINER

TANK CONTAINER

It is used in the transport of liquid products in the chemical and food industry.

A cylindrical tank is housed in a rectangular construction.

The tank must be at least 80% full to avoid shaking during transportation.

However, taking into account the expansion, the loading rate of 95% should not be exceeded.
